if you have only one line into your house you could have as many ethernet ports as you wanted ya cant make that one line into your house go any faster.
Reply:You will have a cable modem for the cable broadband connection and a dsl compatible modem for the dsl connection.

As long as you connect the dsl and cable separately through their own modems to the network ports on your computer it will work fine
Reply:I like cgsa....'s answer, but would add, you get what you pay for. You should check your DSL and see what speed you can send and received stuff--there are levels of service and if you are paying for minimum DSL service, you speed will also be minimum. Why don't you see if cable is faster. Also, look at the RAM you computer has as well as free disk space. Do a disk cleanup up and defrag and clean your caches regularly. Make sure you have an anti-ad/spryware programs.
Reply:You can do it, but not by simply plugging two internet connections in to your PC.

You need specific hardware to do this.

In your case, you would need a Bandwidth Aggregator or Load Balancing Router.

It allows 2 or more internet connections and will total the up and down speed.

It's rather expensive and it's mostly sold to companies and alike.

My neighbour is doing just that, using two connections.

He is using the Netcomm NB750
