Networking problem?

I have a siemens C2210 broadband router with one ethernet and one usb port when i connect both computers on same router one shows another pc but it can't acccess it(i have disabled windows firewall) please help

you need to specify what to share. don't share the drive where you have ur operating system.





Suppose you have window OS on C:drive and songs,games in D:drive. right click on d: drive and click sharing.





The default share appears as D$ for administrator. Click New Share and give a meaningful name in Share Name text box.





Now it should be seen in another computer on the same network.
Reply:i believe you have a modem and not the router.


If you have a modem you cannot acess internet in both the computers at the same time but you can share files in both the computers.
