How can I know if my network admin is spying on my computer and opening the files stored in my hard disk?

Is there a software that I can use? Is there a way to see activies that somone else did on my computer? somtime I notice that my files were altered . by the way its my office PC and I have internet and interanet access through local network.

Being it's at work I doubt it. If files are being altered in a way that effect your work you should back it up on a disk daily. If you find a conflict you can go to HR or your boss

It's difficult to say since the administrator or other authorized person has a lot of ways to do that. You can check with the administrator to verify
Reply:And if they were, what then would you do with that knowledge? PC is a misnomer at the office...it's not a personal computer.


It is a company provided tool which they can examine as they wish...no different than the fire extinguisher outside your door.


Yes there are products that run in the background that will identify a certain range of activity which you could use to determine if someone else used your computer and you can encrypt your files so that only you could open them. You got anything worth the effort to do that?
Reply:If you right click on my computer and go to manage; you can expand the event viewer and click on security.





This will tell you who has logged on to the PC locally or remotely.





However this won't give you any specific information as to what files were accessed and/or modified.





You'd require 3rd party software to find out more.
