im pretty sure you know what networking is you just dont know it is networking!

Networking is awesome. Networking is connecting two or more computers together to share resources such as documents, printers, etc. as well as to gain internet connectivity.





Connecting one computer to the internet deals with a much broader type of networking - I think what you were referring to just relates to Local Area Network(ing), or LAN as commonly referred to.
