is it bcoz of the modulation technique 802.11g uses
When both 802.11b and 802.11g standard operate at 2.4ghz ism band , why there is a difference in speeds?
No, 802.11b is just an earlier version of the 802.11 standard. They use the same frequency, yes, but 802.11g is newer and contains advancements in the technology which allow faster communication.
